Knowing is the first step towards solution. It would take life time to understand the quantum of severe physical & mental pains of 2500 years old prejudices ; more than that, it would take ages to feel the unlimited mental pains of inferior social behavior. But lets make a resolution here, we Brothers and sisters, lets stand against any sort of prejudices henceforth wherever in whatsoever form. Let’s train our minds to be free from captivated forces, plastic moulding mind forces. Let’s be in unison for the decorum of Humanity. We all have potential to be one among the global leaders; forget today’s politicians, let’s reconstruct India make it more beautiful! Let’s be courageous to challenge the sanctities of religion and preconceived Sanskaras. Let’s keep up the light of fraternity alive throughout the world. Let’s Speak up for those who are denied what they should get lets join hands to take every man there!

Dear Friends,
The anti-Buddhist atrocity by “Caste Hindus” who hates Buddhists and Buddhism is shocking and telling us the future of Buddhists in India. This proves that poor Buddhist who are following the Buddha’s path of peace and love shown by Bodhisattva Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar are the worst sufferers. The ex-Untouchables are the original Buddhist who were made to suffer worst than animals by Hindus.
This a is very big wake up call for all Buddhist Activist and for the “Civilized World” otherwise the situation of Buddhist in whole India will be worst than Muslims in Hindu Ruled Gujarat or other states.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly affects all indirectly” –Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Dalit was the Architects of the Constitution of India, Which is “BabaSaheb Ambedkar – The man who made all the difference” True, a man should be judged by merit and achievements and not by any other frivolous considerations such as caste, Creed or religion. It is high time we all strove hard to dismantle and discard the inhuman caste system and unite all people, with the sole aim of leading the nation to the pinnacle of development and prosperity.
The Dalit killing in Jhajjar in Hariyana State in India on October 15,2002 or in Kherlanji in Bhandara Dist of Maharashtra in the year of Buddha Dhamma Deeksha Golden Jubilee in India prove that religion is being used to legitimize mob violence. The brutal massacre of Dalit citizens is bad enough… It raises a host of questions that cry out for answers. The disturbing trend, however is that the truth about events coloured by communalism can never be known. Dalit of India must take refuge in “Tri- Ratna”Buddha, Dhamma, and Sangha!
RACIST MEDIA is worst than the South African Apartheid, who as a matter of convenience put lid on dalit issues–atrocities and their rallies, particularly blacking out the Dhamma Pravartan News, when news rooms of BBC is giving the widespread news. It is disgrace to take a birth and call an Indian Dalit. Politicians are impotent as well!
Dr.Ambedkar said,”Educate agitate and organize.”
Nation wide and world wide protest is lodged. The culprits must be punished with death sentence in public so that no one can dare to do such heinous crime.
At this point of time every human being, I repeat human being, should think seriously and come forward to condemn this kind of act. If still somebody is not sensitized, then for me he is not a human being. Together we can do it……

Country will have to pay for the dues for these inequalilities.
Speaking in the Constituent Assembly, while presenting the draft Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar observed: “On 26th January, we are going to enter a life of contradictions. In politics we will have equality and in social and economic life we will have inequality. In politics we will be recognizing the principle of one man one vote and one vote one value. In our social and economic life we shall by reasons of our social and economic structure continue to deny one man one value”. I am of the opinion that reactionary movement howsoever important, as we all know is not the solution. It is something like highlighting the problem than highlighting the solution.
As the saying goes strong acts and weak reacts … this is not to undermine the feelings and honest intentions behind any protest but..to appeal that lets have action too.
Lets spread the word about action which is more important. We should discourage hereafter-organizing programs in cities and should try to go back to villages. If khairlanji is the success of caste in India it is also a failure (political, social)on our part too. Let’s go back to villages.

Dear Friends Jaybhim From Nagpur. Yes , i am of the same opinion that the families of the All Shahid Bhim Saniks should be given immediate support. In fact a permanant solution is needed in this matter. As we all know here in Nagpur also lot many people were booked under the severe charges and many of them had to cough out thoudands of rupees to get the bail.
However i am also of the opinion that this is the right time to consolidate our efforts and give them a proper direction. As happened at some places like Parabhani , dalit (RPI) leaders are not above the community and if community comes together these people have to come together too. I think some efforts are necessary in that direction also.(reunification of RPI)
We need action so that we dont have to react again tomarrow. The time is ripe enough to introduce this kind of unification measures.
There are lot many actions needed to be done on various fronts . We need to go back to villages and work there. We need to train our urban youth and have some training centres for them. There are lot many things to do and without doubt we are all ready for that. I have a faith.
We nedd full time workers and i am ready for it.

Lonely struggle: Dilip Mhaske’s hunger strike at World Health Organization, Geneva
-Shirish Athawale, Research Scholar,DHSS,IIT,BOMBAY,INDIA
Khairalnji incidence has made all the Ambedkarite think about, are Dalit’s in India are really safe from the oppression of the upper caste feudal forces. It was the eye opener for those too who thinks that the many caste other than the untouchable castes are joining the struggle against the Bramhnical social structure. Certainly as ideology it is right. But it should be strategies keeping caste-contradiction prevailing in the rural areas. Where the Dalits are dependent on the non- Dalit, they are still has been looked down upon, treated as the un-human, women’s are seen just as the commodity for exploitation.
Increasing number of the atrocities made the Ambedkarite furious. They came on the streets, protested demanding the justice. Justice which has been denied historically by the Bramhanical social structure, and even though after the strong laws and the constitutional safe-guards in modern India.
From every section of Dalits strong reaction is coming some reacted violently and some protested peace fully.
Even the Dalits who are settled abroad tried there best to make this incidence visible at various international forums and also protested in front of the various UN agencies.
But among this one attempt is still unnoticed and which is different from other attempts. The hunger strike of Dilip Mhaske in front of World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland. He is neither belong to member of group who is settled abroad and earning the huge salary nor is he son of rich Dalit who is settled abroad, he is not also having the NGO who is fetching the foreign funding by writing only proposal with convent English. He just son of the landless laborer Dalit from the Maharashtra. Dilip Mhaske who is lawyer, who earned his master degrees from the prestigious institutes like Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. He got international exposure because of his visits for paper presentation in various international conferences.
He decided to raise the incidence of Khairalanji at United Nations agencies. He then decided to have hunger strike in front of WHO office. He traveled all the way from Mumbai to Geneva by borrowing money and also taking loan from the Bank. He had hunger strike in front of World Health Organization, Geneva, Switzerland from 27th of to 29th of November 2006. This is organization of the United Nation, who is responsible for monitoring the Human right violation.
Dilip submitted the details report of the Khairalanji incidence to the Anders Nordström, acting director of WHO and Human right team of the WHO. He had also the meeting with the council member of the United Nation Human Right Commission.
He had distributed the 1000 pamphlets of the information of the Khairalanji incidence to the people who visited the WHO office Geneva. The victory of his struggle is WHO decided to make the special report of this incidence. They have also decided to carry out the research about the caste as the reason for violence in India.
Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was expecting the same from the educated youth. According to him the reservation policy is not for just to get the jobs for individual but it is to represent and advocate the problems and issues of the downtrodden from their respective positions.

Dear Friends,
Reading the extra ordinary effort of Mr.Dilip Mhaske gives us hope that Dalit educated elites have not completely shunned their own brethen. These efforts keep glowing the light of hope for Dalit emancipation.Elites must take a cue from the likes of Mr.Dilip and should shed all inhibitions (especially out of fear of “assumed rejection” by upper castes )which stop them from coming out openly for Dalit rights. We all must realise that the stigma of being dalit has been imposed on us and being dalit is not a crime. The best way to fight this stigma is to assert the dalit identity and make all understand that dalits are not inferior to any body on any field. We are born equal and have equal right to dignity and status.
As the media still looks at the dalit issues with jaundiced eyes;this blog is a powerful tool to carry forward the mission of human rights to dalits.
Please keep on empowering the dalits and help all become rational and reasonable.
JAI BHIM,
I wish that kill them in the same way. There is a need to show Bhimtola.
My Dear Dhamma Brothers and Sisters,
Below news is one of the great achievement in Bodhisattva Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar’s Movement for ‘Social Reconstruction’ of World Human Society based on Equality , Liberty and Fraternity. Buddhist follower of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar can be the guide for the world to bring Social Change in every part of the world according to Buddhist Principles.
Indian Buddhists should take lead in Social Activities.
Now Hindu Media should use ‘Ambedkarite’ instead of Dalit. All SC/ST/OBC Hindus are NOT Ambedkarites but people from different Hindu Castes are certainly Ambedkarites. There Christens, Muslims and Buddhist follower of Bodhisattva Dr. Ambedkar.
About CJI’s religious faith I am not sure. Those who followed Bodhisattva Dr. Ambedkar have achieved something in life. It is true that all those could not become Buddhists but they are Ambedkarites.
I being a Buddhist like Mr. Pravin from Frankfurt, Germany, I wish to state that Indian Media will not use the term as ” Ambedkarite” instead of Dalits word. In India 1.25 Billion people there no one in Print or TV media or even there is no one leading press Reporter or Top Journalist in India from Ambedkarite, There are several Lawyers, Doctors, Engineers, or Pilots, we can’t say they are the Best Like in Upper Caste like Mr. Arun Jetliy, Mr. Kapil Sibal, or Ms. Jayanti Natrajsn or Mr. P. Chitambarm, or so many Dr. as B.K. Goyal, or E. Shridharan.
I will have one more chance to Visit 5 Krishna Memon Marg after the gap of 11 years the Home I was Hon. Guest from 1978 to 1985 When Justice Mr. Yashwant V. Chandrachud was the longest serving Chief Justice of India 7 Years than Our man for 3 Years .I had very special relationship with Justice Chandrachud Ji,and till today I meet him in Mumbai. One of the Good Human being and Justice for Dalits at heart and Lot’s of respect for Dr. Ambedkar.
I wish all the best for Justice Mr. K.G. Balakrishnan at 5 Krishna Menon Marg, New Dehli.
With Much love, peace and Joy,
Yours in the Dhamma,

Atrocity team has been doing really a great job. The articles are really informative and though-provoking. The http://www.stopatrocity.com will also surely help people and spread more awareness and would act as a vital tool to combat caste-based atrocities.
However, with all the progress that we are making, I find there is a drop in the number of articles every month. I would like to see more and more informative articles rather than a drop in number :).
Wishing you All the Very Best!

YES, now its a time to join together the way we did in jessica lal case.Just dont know what is secularism but preach and commit yourself to it. every drop makes an ocean.if we dont start making a diffrence and raising our voice and doing something against such henious crime( jajjar case and kharlanji case)even we will be responsible for making secularism a history in india.lets join hand for this issue..LETS COME TOGETHER
I find & suggest the ways to avoid atrocities
1. To enforce government to teach Atrocity Law through public programs in Gram Panchayat, Tahashildar Office, Collector office. with the help of Local Artist ( path natya, screen shots)
2. To enforce government to teach importance of Human Rights, Social Security & Justice to the POLICE, ADMINSTRATION officers, POLITICIANS.
3. To make the NGOs to act in this respect.
4. To publish the information about Atrocity Law, Value of Human rights, Social Justice & Security through the TV Channels, Local and National News Papers.
These subjects must be taught through schools and colleges.
5. At last EDUCATION is most important.
First of All My Millions of Thanks to atrocity news for your extra ordinary effort to highlting such a brutal and inhuman activity. It was highly evoking and inHuman activity, as I know well as I am from Bhandara Dist.
BHOWATE family has suffered worst than animal for being Dalits ( Mahar)only for they were stood apart for Justice and to help justice. It was the extremness of unhumanisam carried by HINDUS and It was Cold Bludded Murder.
Your efforts will come to true only when these criminals will be Hanged till Death. Local Media and Local Leader making it as a political issue, Hindus want to save Hindus. Mine poor villeger will believe in media like you, and National Human Rights. Local media media diverting issue and looking as Bussiness Point of view.
This is the only case you media have come to known , I Don’t Know Whats about Maharashtra , India or World , But In Bhandara Taluka and Bhandara District everyday someone has to pay the cost of Being Dalits( Mahar , SC, Untouchale, JaiBhimwale).
I Don’t Think we are Living in 21 century. I don’t Know when the Day will Come that before Entering in Primary School Teacher will stop asking ‘ What is cast of Your Father?’
I think We should Look after , What We Was Before 1956, After 1956 till 1990 and 1990 to the day?. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Delighted to us , but same thing is lacking to have equal rights, Equal Dignity and Equal Status, though we all Human have Borne Equal.
Thanks for Highliting Kherlanji Case.
Keep empowering Peoples
